People take the initiative of decorating their homes in many
different ways – by lighting the room, or by putting wallpapers, decorating the
walls with artwork and dressing the floor with an area rug. This list is never
ending. And I, personally, admire those who bring along the creativity of
interior decoration to make their house a home.
Well, let me tell you that I am also one of them. And few
days back I was searching continuously for area rugs in Canada, when I came up
with some amazing ideas to add warmth to my home. I had the ultimate urge to
embellish my rooms with real Persian Rug for long and finally, got
accomplished. Thus I decided to share my home décor ideas with you and spread
some positivity.
Rooms before the Decoration
Frankly speaking, I found my home not so sparkling enough
before the decoration – everything, around, seemed so dull. There were no
exciting corners, nothing eye-catchy in the staircase or the walls, and the
floor was so naked. So, I was determined to do a make-over of my home. And so
my journey began…
Creative Decoration Ideas
I don’t own a huge mansion – my one and a half story house
has a small relaxing room upstairs where, mostly, I am with my friends, family,
or at times, all alone; there is one bedroom, one dining room, and one living
room downstairs. So, it didn’t take much time to put together a plan of
embellishment. And the experience was quite fun as well.
Let me start with the Living Room, first:
And finally the time came to buy a Persian Rug for my home.
As already said, I was exploring different avenues for the perfect rug to
enrich the look of my home – I was confused and dissatisfied as well because
not a single design caught my eyes. Then one day, Lisa (one of my friends) told
me that she had gifted a Persian Rug to her parents, and the place she bought from was – Rugs Network, which had amazing
selections.
I instantly started surfing through their website and found
a variety of low priced Persian area
rugs. After some thorough searches and getting amazed with the collection,
I finally decided on the one to be suitable for my living room. I have ordered
the Persian Rug and it will be delivered soon. Can’t wait to put a touch of
colorful etiquette in the living room – excited!!
The Dining Room:
I have planned to re-arrange my dining room with a
particular theme – food. I will paste some posters of my favorite dishes on the
wall, and have also framed some of my dinner outings, my cooking, and
everything related to the kitchen to let them bring out the foodie in me. And I
have visualized my dining space with this decoration – it will look
mouth-watering, I am quite sure.
The
Bed Room:
For the bedroom, I have kept it a little simple. With some
stars above my bed, I have decided to include another rug but that’s not a
Persian one – I have bought a contemporary design which will match perfectly
with my personality, also available at RUGSNETWORK.
And additionally, I have bought a special ball chair for the
bedroom where I can sit leisurely and drink coffee – cup after cup!! Well, I am
finished decorating my bedroom, other than the rug. I will keep it in front of
my bed the day it will arrive and the beautification of that room will be done.
And now comes the favorite space of my home – my Relaxing
Room:
I will decorate it with all my creativity. Take a look –
And last but not the least, The Staircase:
For this, I have decided for something out-of-the-box. On
every other riser of the stairs, there’ll be signature of my favorite people
with something special written about them and that’ll be done by me. And at the
last riser where the stair is ending up and letting us enter the Relaxing Room,
there will be one line – “Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, None but
ourselves can free our minds!!” – The inspiration I have taken from Bob Marley.
